Charity Slawter, from the Live Well Home Group, provided my spouse and I awesome support over approximately 18 months during our search for a home in the south Puget Sound region. We originally and inadvertently discovered the Live Well Home Group on YouTube. We found that Charity and Joe make the most informative, interesting and at times entertaining videos about living in Olympia, Tumwater and Lacey Washington. Further, their videos provide expert details related to home purchasing, local economies, and real estate trends. In some videos they go beyond this region sharing information, activities and the history of cities around Puget Sound. Living in California and trying to find a place seemed rather overwhelming until contacting Charity who made herself available for multiple texts, emails and phone calls. Everything went smoothly from our initial Zoom meeting to the final closing. We made the decision to move cross-country from the east coast to the Thurston County/Lewis County area to be closer to my family. We had to do this process from a distance which positively terrified me, and Charity made the process as painless as buying a home could be. She knows the area well and was able to provide feedback about the different areas we were looking at. This was the first time I'd ever done the entire home-buying process, and going through it from 3,000 miles away, I had lots of questions. She responded promptly and professionally and never made me feel like I was asking too many questions, or dumb questions. We used a lot of texts and emails because of the time difference but talked on the phone to chat when we needed to. We were looking for something pretty specific, but I didn't care so much where it was. She understood our requirements, and what we were looking for, so when she went out to shoot videos for us, she would make sure she covered the items she knew would be of interest. The videos were great and really showed us everything we needed to see. She helped greatly with the inevitable negotiations. I did fly out to see my purchase during the home inspection because I just couldn't stand to buy the house without stepping foot onto the property, but everything else was handled remotely. I highly recommend Charity and would use her again if we ever moved.
